Joseph Sgro started as a primary school teacher in 1977, in Merredin,a town in the eastern wheatbelt of Western Australia. That same year hewas transferred to Capel, where he took a keen interest inreading education.

He remained in primary teaching for six and a half years. After completinga diploma in reading education he took a year off from teaching and beganhis Postgraduate in Education Studies-Reading.

In 1985 he took up a post in the secondary school as as Reading ResourceTeacher. Although he enjoyed the area of work he began to find that thesystem was wearing him down.

In 1986 he started to learn about the stock market and dabbled in trading gold stocks.

After returning from long service leave in 1989 he started at a newschool and began to plan his exit out of a system he felt was very unsatisfying. He started his own tutoring business in 1992 and called it, Tutor Help.

He went from having no computer to owning 2 and possessing very little knowledgeof how to use them.

At 37, Joseph's sights were set on new horizons. Having spent the last16 years in teaching he felt he had missed out on the other things life had to offer and was determined to look for greener grass.

In 1992 he started to record his life experiences and his personalphilosophy, in his first book, entitled,"Just an Idea". The logical stepafter leaving teaching was to do something he knew something about.

In 1994 he began to write about whathe knew most about - his teaching. He decided to start writing educationalmaterials for the secondary school. "Study Skills", was the firstproduction. This was followed in 1995 by a study skills guide. He was stillnot satisfied that he had treated adequately the importance of "attitude"in learning, so this led to the creation of "Learning & How!".It was an important step because it showed the author the advantages of computer softwareover the usual written materials.

Since 2000

Tutor Help now caters for both the adult and the student audience by selling a range of home study courses. The stock market is a main focus of training materials and Joseph has recorded his trading experiences.

He is always on the lookout for trading information and also business information to present his web visitors. Reviewing and researching trading programs take up most of the authors time.
