may I tell you the line that got me fired
from BBDO, from my $180,000 (plus

2003--Atlanta, Georgia
...the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer)
of Cingular is doing a dress rehearsal for
a press conference the following day...
about 100 fellow Cingular marketers in
the room... this is a big deal...
the room has two HUGE big screen TVs
upon which is projected a new phone with
a blank screen
the CMO will announce that Cingular will be the
first wireless carrier to have AOL Instant
Messanger on their phones.
the Chief Marketing Officer finishes his
song and dance and enters a message on
a computer email and hits send...
we all stare at the two HUGE-SCREEN TVs
nothing is happening...
we are waiting silently
nothing happens...
nothing is happening
we watch the HUGE screen TVs
nothing is happening...
