International Study Abroad CriteriaStudy Abroad students apply directly through their Study Abroad office, or through a Study Abroad sponsor nominated by their home institution and pay tuition fees and other fees through their Study Abroad Office or Study Abroad sponsor, unless advised otherwise. Each institution will have their own criteria for admission into their program, but your Study Abroad Office will help you out. Seek advice from your school's study abroad advisor before applying. Many schools require prior approval to transfer credits earned while studying abroad. Others have additional internal policies which can affect financial aid and your study. SIT Study Abroad welcomes applications from undergraduate students who are in good academic standing at any college or university and who have completed at least one year of college-level coursework at the time of application for semester programs, or at least one to three semesters of college-level work at the time of application for summer programs.
